He always gets the latest gadgets and always uses them so everyone can see them, at school we are supposed to use laptops but he uses his iPad and the teachers do not care but if someone else were to use an iPad then they would get it confiscated, he is allowed to wear a casual jacket over his school uniform but whenever someone else does it they get sent home and he always gets at least one question from the exam paper (when we have not done it yet). How do I deal with this person? It seems almost impossible to beat him in exams

Don’t worry about him. Abide by the rules (if you agree with the rules) and let him get into trouble for disobeying them. He’s probably just been lucky so far about not getting caught.
If you and other students are still noticing also that he’s receiving unfair treatment, then discuss it with them first and approach your principal as a group, citing examples of specific instances in which he had been given special allowances. If it’s important to you, you could lobby to have the rules changed in your favor to enable everyone the same privileges.
Basically, just don’t let him concern you. Do the best that you can without trying to “beat” him…. You’ll be surprised at your own progress when the pressure to compete is gone. =)
I suppose you should stop worrying about him, and focus on what you are there for, and that is to learn.
You obviously go to a very nice school. You should be grateful.
Not to bum you out, but when i was in school I was more worried about not getting into fights and protecting my **** so it would not be stolen. A laptop in my school would have lasted about 2.5 seconds.
I wish this would have been my type of problems in school…. just sayin……..
If he bothers you just ignore him. He’s just trying to seek attention. It’s not worth wasting your time thinking about him.
Just ignore him. He’ll eventually stop if he doesn’t get the attention he wants.
Easy, get to be his fake friend then once you know his weakness beating him wont be any more difficult. Invest in his weakness

I agree with Chris. You have a life of your own to deal with. Life is too short to be envious of someone.
